Lake Country is Excluded from BC’s Speculation Tax

The lakeview homes of Lakestone will not be captured by the province’s newly proposed real estate tax.  The Government of British Columbia has named Lake Country as an area where the tax will not be imposed.  Designed to capture foreign and domestic speculators, the tax will not affect the masterplanned community of Lakestone.  Lakestone is located outside of the designated urban centres deemed taxable by the housing-related tax which is scheduled to take effect this fall or in early 2019.
