New Trails at Lakestone Give Panoramic Views Over Lake Country

Seven kilometres of new trails have opened at Lakestone — and they’re now public parkland, dedicated to the Regional District for everyone in Lake Country to enjoy.

The new network includes Beacon Hill Trail, Summit Trail, and the Wetland Loop Trail Extension, along with Beacon Park at the community’s highest elevation. From the top, you get sweeping views over four lakes: Okanagan, Wood, Kalamalka, and Ellison.

As Jonathon Campbell, Development Manager for Macdonald Communities, explained: “Lakestone was always designed to be more than a place to build a home. It’s a community built around living well — and today, these trails become part of that for everyone. “

The trail opening marks another milestone for The Summit, Lakestone’s newest neighbourhood. The community’s expanded trail network now connects the highest point of the development to the broader Lake Country trail system — adding to the trail network through the community.
