The Lakestone Architect Series
An extraordinary place to call home.
Thirteen possibilities. Which one inspires you?
Your home begins with an idea of how you want to live. An architect or designer brings the creativity to see what’s possible, and the vision to turn an exceptional setting into a home that feels distinctly yours.
To explore those possibilities, we invited a select group of architects and residential designers from across Canada to imagine a home for The Summit, Lakestone’s newest neighbourhood.
The result is thirteen distinct concepts that explore how architecture can enrich everyday life, connect a home to its surroundings, and contribute to the character of the community.
We invite you to picture yourself here. Explore the designs, discover the thinking behind them, and cast your vote for the Lakestone People’s Choice Award.
Voting opens November 1. Choose your top 3 favourite designs, then submit your picks by November 30.
The story behind the series
A new chapter, designed on purpose.
An exceptional home is shaped by the people who live in it and the place it belongs.
At Lakestone, that sense of place comes from the landscape, the lake views, the trails and gathering spaces, and the neighbours who make it a community. Thoughtful architecture brings those qualities into the experience of home: how you welcome friends, spend time with family, enjoy a quiet morning, or open your living space to the outdoors.
The Summit offers a remarkable opportunity to build on that foundation. Its 57 homesites sit at Lakestone’s highest elevation, with views across four lakes and some of the largest homesites ever offered in the community. These are exceptional homesites within an exceptional community, deserving of architecture that realizes their full potential.
That belief inspired the Lakestone Architect Series.
We invited architects and residential designers from across Canada to consider one question: What would you build here?
Our purpose is to inspire future homeowners, to show what becomes possible when a designer’s imagination meets the possibilities of a particular homesite. A hillside can inspire a different way of arranging living spaces. A view can shape where people gather. Natural light, privacy, and the relationship between indoors and out can influence how a home feels throughout the day.
The thirteen concepts explore these possibilities through different creative perspectives. Each offers a vision of a home someone could feel proud to own, while contributing something distinctive to the neighbourhood around it.
Following the showcase, selected concepts will form the Lakestone Signature Home Collection: a curated portfolio that will help future homeowners imagine their own life at Lakestone and discover the architects and designers who could help bring that vision to life. Each featured design will carry its creator’s name, recognizing their contribution to the home and to the community’s architectural story.

Questions
Can I purchase one of these plans?
Yes, you can purchase home plans from the architect or designer directly. We encourage you to contact them directly, or we can connect you. Email info@lakestoneliving.com and let us know which plan you’re interested in.
How many designs can I vote for?
Each person picks a top 3. Choose up to three designs and submit your picks. They are recorded as soon as you submit, no email required, and they are final.
Do the Instagram and Facebook Story polls count toward the result?
No. Story polls are there to encourage conversation and exploration. The official vote is cast only here on the website.
Can these designs be built on any homesite?
Each of these concepts was created for a specific Summit homesite. Many of these designs can be constructed on various lots, however direct dialogue between you, the architect or designer and Preferred Builder would be required.
What do these homes cost?
Pricing on homes fluctuates based on many variables. We would encourage you to engage with one of our Preferred Builders and the architect or designer, as they would be able to accurately provide current pricing and incorporate the finishings you desire.
